A 32-year-old man died this Thursday (23) after drinking an entire bottle of pinga because of a bet made in a bar. The case occurred in the city of Juara (MT), which is about 700 kilometers from Cuiabá.
According to the Civil Police of Mato Grosso, the victim’s wife stated that, during a drinking session, the man “bet with another person that he could dry a bottle of cachaça in a single gulp”.
Still according to the incident report, after ingesting the entire contents of the bottle, the boy began to feel sick, vomited and then went to sleep.
Around 5:30 am, the woman realized that her husband had no vital signs and called the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), which confirmed the death. According to the police, there were no “apparent signs or marks of violence” on the boy’s body.
