The Civil Police confirmed to CNN which will deliver to the Legal Medical Institute of Belo Horizonte the material collected from the bodies of Marília Mendonça and the other four victims of the aircraft crash at 5:00 am this Sunday (7th).
The committed teams will leave early to arrive at the IML at the end of this morning. According to the delegate responsible for investigations, Ivan Sales, the idea is to streamline the work of experts so that the analysis starts in the morning. The regional delegate from Caratinga explained that this material includes blood, urine and other fluids.
The Civil Police teams finalized the expertise on site this Saturday (6), while the work of the teams of the 3rd Regional Service for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents, Rio de Janeiro’s regional Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (Cenipa ), continues until this Sunday (7).
The material collected from the bodies will help the expert to identify what caused the death of singer Marília Mendonça and the other four occupants of the aircraft that crashed this Friday (5) in Caratinga, Minas Gerais. In addition to the biological material collected from the victims, the police collected belongings, such as Marília Mendonça’s guitar.
Also this Sunday, investigators from Caratinga will continue the work of identifying witnesses who witnessed the fall.
The identification of these people and the testimonies will be forwarded to the Investigators of the Third Regional Service for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (Seripa 3), located in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), regional body of the Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (Cenipa) and who is responsible for determining the cause of the aircraft crash.
All objects were sent to the Instituto Médico Legal de Belo Horizonte for analysis. The Civil Police will await the autopsy and accident site reports to present the results of the investigation and the real cause of deaths of all occupants of the aircraft.
