Singer Marília Mendonça had a schedule of performances in Europe to be completed this month. The artist died this Friday (5), in a plane crash in Minas Gerais, which left four more victims: the plane’s pilot and co-pilot; the singer’s uncle and advisor, Abicieli Silveira Dias Filho; and producer Henrique Ribeiro.
The shows were scheduled to take place in London, England (25/11), in Brussels, Belgium (26/11), and in Porto and Lisbon, Portugal, with two performances in Porto (27 and 28/11) and one in the Portuguese capital (11/29).
Marília Mendonça was traveling from Goiânia (GO) to Caratinga (MG) – where she would make a presentation tonight – when the accident occurred.
According to the Brazilian Airport Infrastructure Company (Infraero), the plane left at 1:05 pm, from Santa Genoveva Airport, in Goiânia. The artist published a video on the plane this Friday (5).
The singer had an average of 25 concerts scheduled per month, and began to fulfill the schedule as the states eased restrictions determined by the Covid-19 pandemic.
