Show logistics must be rethought after Marília’s accident, says Sorocaba

After confirming the death of singer Marília Mendonça, 26, in a plane crash, the singer Sorocaba said that the logistics of transporting artists will be rethought after what happened this Friday (5).

“It’s a big loss. This will still have a lot of consequences, because she is an artist who will make the whole scenario reflect a lot. It’s something that will move the market a lot, especially in this matter of artists’ logistics, of trying to do as much as possible so that they are unique trips”, said Sorocaba.

The singer also stated that Marília Mendonça was “unique” and that it will take many years for someone else like her to appear.

“Marília was unique. A vocal DNA, the way of composing, the way of expressing and interacting with the other characters in country music. She was at an incredible moment in her career, which had been going on for a few years. It will take years for someone like that to appear”, said the singer.

Marília Mendonça was traveling to fulfill her concert schedule when the aircraft fell into a water course near the BR-474 highway, in the city of Piedade de Caratinga, in Vale do Rio Doce, in the west of Minas Gerais.

Also died was producer Henrique Ribeiro, the singer’s uncle and advisor, Abicieli Silveira Dias Filho, the pilot and co-pilot of the plane, whose names were not revealed.
