The singer Marisa Monte is among the most talked about topics on Twitter this Friday (20).
And there are two reasons for all this highlight: the “Portas” tour, which arrived in Rio de Janeiro this Thursday and continues until Sunday (22), and the new song “Happy, Joyful and Strong” officially launched during the singer’s first performance that filled the Jeunesse Arena, in Barra da Tijuca.
“When the album ‘Portas’ came out, I saved this song to release on stage, singing live, at the tour’s debut, in Rio de Janeiro. The premiere in Rio was postponed and the music was kept. I finally arrived happy, happy and strong in my city to sing the song for the first time the way I imagined it”, said Marisa, during the show.
The tour for “Portas”, the singer’s first solo album in 10 years, was due to start in January, but had to be postponed after Marisa tested positive for Covid-19.
At the time, she broke the news on her Instagram: “Guys, this morning I woke up to the news that my PCR test, done yesterday afternoon, was positive. I am totally asymptomatic, with the three doses of the vaccine, isolated at home.”
The first shows ended up taking place in April in the Northeast and arrive in São Paulo in July, between the 21st and 23rd, and on the 29th. The tour continues until the end of the year, and passes through cities such as Campinas, Uberlândia, Porto Alegre and Florianópolis.
