Designed for flagship 4K TVs, the MediaTek MT9638 features a dedicated APU for AI computing, Variable Image Refresh Rate (VRR), MEMC and HDR10 +.

The MediaTek MT9638 SoC received four ARM Coretex-A55 cores, an ARM Mali-G52 GPU, and the aforementioned MediaTek APU. The platform supports 4K @ 60Hz, Wi-Fi 6, HDMI 2.1, USB 3.0, Dolby Atmos, and DTS Virtual X.
In addition, the platform boasts improved voice recognition support and support for up to 4 microphones, ultra-low standby power consumption, and one-second resume.
The MediaTek MT9638 is expected to hit 4K Smart TVs in the second quarter of 2021.
