The UN Security Council held an emergency meeting after Russian troops seized control of Europe’s biggest nuclear plant in southern Ukraine. The Russian offensive caused a fire in the area of ​​the plant, but the reactors were not affected and there are no signs of radiation.

The NATO Secretary General said the military alliance is not part of the war and will not move troops. Jens Stoltenberg said that NATO is a “defensive alliance” and that Western countries need to ensure that the conflict does not go beyond Ukraine.
