The chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Senator Bob Menendez, was met in Washington by the head of the GEETHA, General Konstantinos Floros, as part of an official visit he is making to the USA.
With his post on Facebook, Mr. Floros states, among other things: “We discussed the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean, the strategic cooperation between Greece and the USA and the contribution of the Armed Forces to the role of Greece as a pillar of security and stability.”
Besides, the GEETHA leader also met with the Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs Jessica Lewis.
As he notes in another post on Facebook, “we discussed the security challenges after the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the prospects for deepening the Greek-US strategic cooperation at the regional and allied level”.
