At least 100 immigrants were found crammed inside a tourist bus last Saturday (18) in the city of Tlaxcala, central Mexico.
According to a statement from the country’s National Migration Institute (INM), the people were identified during a routine operation, after immigration agents asked the bus driver to stop the vehicle.
After checking the passengers’ documents, the INM was unable to prove the regular stay in the country of at least 100 people. Of this total, 98 are from Guatemala.
In addition to those traveling on top of the bus, three immigrants were also found inside the trunk of the vehicle.
According to the INM, the adult passengers were sent to the immigration service, while family members and minors were under the supervision of the authorities of the Integral Family Development System.
