Celebratory
This special automatic chronograph Audemars Piguet Royal Oakin white gold
18 carats, was commissioned, as a gift for 2003, by Jean Todt, his mentor, former CEO of Ferrari and president of the FIA (International Automobile Federation). One of a kind, on the back it has engraved the dates, from 1994 to 2003, framed within a wreath of laurel leaves, commemorating the then six times in which the legendary driver was world champion. To make it even more extraordinary, a sign of the close friendship between the two, the dedication signed below: «J. Todt pour M. Schumacher». While on the front, the refined specially customized silver dial features the typical emblems of the very famous Italian sports car manufacturer. We see precisely depicted in the secondary dials: the Prancing Horse logo, on the seconds dial; the number 1 in the centre, surrounded by 6 stars, a reminder of the respective winnings, on the 30 minute counter; Schumacher's red racing helmet, in the dial that records the 12 hours. For all fans of Formula 1 and of the historic brand of master watchmakers, which in 2025 celebrates 150 years since its foundation in 1875, this is an unrepeatable opportunity to win a real trophy to put on your wrist, from estimated value between 160 and 260 thousand euros.

With a starting price ranging from 1.1 to 2.1 million euros, it is the most expensive example at auction: we're talking about Vagabondage 1 developed by FP Journe, another gift given in 2004 by his dear friend, as evidenced by the phrase imprinted on the 18-carat gold movement «Jean Todt for my dear friend Michael Schumacher». Manual movement, in the red dial that dominates the attention appears: the number 7, and the seven Vs, which represent Schumacher's victories in the world championship, the driver's helmet and the inevitable horse coat of arms; characteristic symbols that have also made Ferrari a fashion brand. Demonstrating the prestige, which is added to the customization, it is one of the first examples of the Vagabondage 1 ever made. When the first model was launched on the market it was 2006, but Schumacher had already had it on his wrist for a couple of years. Probably at that time, among the first of that model and perhaps the only one to be in private hands: it is considered the star piece of the auction.
