Microsoft unveiled yesterday the Windows 365 cloud service, which allows you to access the OS interface, Windows applications and content from virtually any device. However, during the announcement, an important detail was missed – information on prices.
As part of today’s session at the ongoing Microsoft Inspire conference, the company began to open the veil of secrecy regarding the cost of Windows 365. So far, however, not all options have been announced.
As it became known, as part of the Windows 365 Business tariff, access to a dual-processor virtual PC with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage will cost companies $ 31 per month for each user. In two years, this translates to $ 744 per user. For that kind of money, you can buy a regular laptop for each employee.
However, Windows 365 provides capabilities that you simply won’t get if you just buy a new laptop with Windows 11. Windows 365 is noted to provide easier management and the ability to access your personal Windows configuration and content from multiple devices.
Recall that Microsoft will offer two versions of the service – Windows 365 Business and Windows 365 Enterprise. Both options offer virtual PCs in 12 configurations, ranging from a single processor with 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, to an eight-processor with 32 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The official launch will take place on 2 August.
