Microsoft has allowed background blur in browser-based Skype

Microsoft launched the background blur feature during Skype video calls back in 2019 – first in desktop applications, and then in mobile, but it remained unavailable for those who use the service through a browser.

This injustice will soon be removed. Microsoft introduced background blur feature in Skype for Web. This feature works in Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome browsers.

While the feature is available in the Insider test build. It also has the ability to block meetings in the “Meetings” so that you are not disturbed by uninvited guests. Both of these features are available in the latest build of Skype Insider 8.72.

Microsoft recently took a big step forward with the web version of Skype. Support for Skype for Web (Skype for browser) has significantly expanded and now the service can be launched in Safari.
