Microsoft launches the new Surface: a new range ready for Windows 11

Lightweight, powerful and versatile but also with a decidedly iconic look, the Surface has been appreciated by users since its inception in 2017. Five years away, Microsoft has announced the largest extension of the range of its hardware products to better welcome the arrival of the new operating system Windows 11.

The Redmond company has unveiled in fact 6 new products: Surface Laptop Studio, Surface Pro 8, Surface Pro X, Surface Go 6, Surface Pro 7+ and the device for professional users Surface Duo 2, the innovative hybrid device between smartphone and tablet.

An exclusive series of accessories is also coming, including the new Surface Slim Pen 2.

Among the new Surface the Laptop Studio is the most powerful computer of the series, designed to meet the needs of those who create content and work on the move but also for home users who do not want to give up performance. This product is a true “studio” that can be used as a traditional desktop PC, in laptop mode and in stage mode (with the forward angled display ideal for gaming, streaming or presentations).

Alongside the flagship product Microsoft also unveiled three new Surface, laptops with the characteristic design 2-in-1 which allows you to use them also as a tablet. Surface Pro 8 with the new 11th generation Intel Core processors and two Thunderbolt ports is the most powerful model in this category, but speed and performance have also been increased in Surface Go 3 and in the Surface Pro X, now available in the wi-fi only version.

Long-lasting battery, removable hard drive and LTE connectivity are the pluses of the Surface Pro 7+ while the Duo 2, designed for business users, is perfect for videoconferencing and already integrates 5G connectivity. There are also many accessories coming to further extend the functionality of these products, from the new thinner and lighter Slim Pen 2 to Microsoft Modern Usb-C headphones, certified for Microsoft Teams.

Starting with the next October 5th the Surface Go 3 (from 449 euros) and the Surface Pro 7+ will be available, from November 15 for business and training customers you can already buy the Surface Duo 2, while for all the other new Surface we will have to wait until January 2022.
