Microsoft Corp. announced an increase in profits and revenues. for the last quarter, without however being able to confirm analysts’ estimates, as reported by foreign news agencies.
In particular, the IT giant reported revenue of $51.87 billion for the fourth quarter compared to $46.15 billion a year earlier.
Net income rose to $16.74 billion, or $2.23 a share, in the quarter ended June 30 from $16.46 billion, or $2.17 a share, a year earlier.
Average estimates of analysts polled by Bloomberg put sales at $52.4 billion and earnings at $2.29 per share.
The company’s stock lost 0.4% in online trading after the results were announced.
