Microsoft stops selling Windows 10. Now only Windows 11

A notice appeared on the official Microsoft website that the company will stop selling Windows 10 licenses after January 31, 2023. This message is displayed on the Home, Professional, and Workstation edition pages.

Thus, already in February, the only version of Windows that Microsoft will sell will be the fresh Windows 11. However, this does not mean at all that the “Ten” will completely stop spreading – for sure it will still be possible to buy it from third-party stores, as well as in the form physical copies. However, this fact itself indicates that developers are starting to stop advising users to upgrade to Windows 10, although they used to recommend it on a par with installing Windows 11 (for example, users of Windows 7 and 8.1, whose extended support ended in January).

Recall that support for Windows 10 “in at least one of the editions” is announced until October 14, 2025.
