A great light that shines on breast cancer research and prevention. It is the one that will light up the Christmas Tree in the Galleria del Corso in Milan on Wednesday 6 December, at 6.30 pm, «designed» by Victoria’s Secrets and Percassi, together with IEO-MONZINO Foundation. Victoria’s Secret’s gift to women is in fact the project Celebrates Women launched together with IEO-MONZINO Foundation and dedicated to breast cancer research.
The Christmas fir tree set up in the Galleria del Corso, coming from a nursery in Val Sorda, is approximately 10 meters high and is decorated at the base with gift packages in the colors red, gold and pink, shades taken from the decorations and LED lights that embellish the tree. The same colors also characterize another 4 meter fir tree set up in Piazza Berlinguer, on the corner of Via Savona.
«With the lighting of the two fir trees, we are also shining a light on prevention: the project Celebrates Womenin collaboration with the IEO-MONZINO Foundation, aims to raise awareness among women of all ages about the importance of prevention and research on breast cancer”, commented Matteo Morandi, CEO of Percassi Retail. «Victoria’s Secret supports the activities of the Foundation, a precious and indispensable resource to always keep attention towards research for women. For a Christmas dedicated to solidarity and sharing.”
From November 30 to December 3, Victoria’s Secret donated part of the proceeds from the sales of the Galleria del Corso store to the Foundation and an IEO breast specialist present in the store answered all questions regarding prevention. To date, the lingerie brand has 45 stores in Europe, of which 26 in Italy and 6 in the Milan area, the last of which opened on Saturday 2 December in Corso Buenos Aires.
