Milei says that anyone who criticizes attacks on Lula is a “perfect idiot dinosaur”

Argentine President Javier Milei said on Tuesday (2) that anyone who criticizes his attacks against President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) is a “perfect idiot dinosaur”.

The Argentine once again accused Lula of interfering in the 2023 elections and participating in the “dirtiest campaign in history.” The Brazilian president declared last year that he was rooting for the candidacy of Sergio Massa, who lost to Milei in the second round.

In a post on X, Milei once again called Lula a “communist” and said that the PT member was “arrested for corruption.” The tension between the presidents comes after the news that the Argentine leader will visit Brazil this weekend, but will not meet with Lula, according to presidential spokesman Manuel Adorni.

Javier Milei also withdrew from participating in the Mercosur Summit next Monday (8), in Asunción, Paraguay, as he had an “overloaded schedule”.

Members of Casa Rosada confirm that Milei will, however, participate in the Conservative Political Action Conference, which will be held in Camboriú (SC), where she is expected to meet former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL).

In the same post on her old Twitter account, Milei also questioned the allegations of an attempted coup d’état in Bolivia. According to the Argentine president, the “perfect idiot dinosaur”, in addition to criticizing his attacks on Lula, also believed the accusation, which he called a “fraud”.

A CNN contacted the Planalto Palace to comment on the statements, but has not yet received a response.
