One military helicopter crashed Thursday in the southeast Turkey, as announced by the country’s Ministry of Defense.
Nine people were killed and four were injured, according to the same source quoted by Reuters.
The helicopter took off from Bingol province. Contact with him was lost and investigations were launched to locate him.

A statement from the Ministry of Defense described the crash as an accident. The four wounded soldiers were taken to hospital.
“Nine heroic soldiers were killed and four were injured in the crash,” the ministry said in a statement, adding that the helicopter had crashed in the Beatles area.
