The defense of former Minister of Education Milton Ribeiro, who had his preventive detention decreed this Wednesday (22), spoke about the case requesting that the hearing be held by videoconference in São Paulo and said that he will file a request for habeas. corpus.

“I am looking for copies of the process to be able to make a habeas corpus because, even without knowing the case in depth, it seems to me that this preventive detention is not contemporaneous (the facts took place a long time ago) and there would be no reason or concrete reason for this custody. early,” said attorney Daniel Bialski.

Bialski said he was “triggered earlier today while the Federal Police were carrying out the search and the arrest warrant.”

According to the lawyer, Milton Ribeiro has already signed the power of attorney. Bialski also said he will accompany the former minister to the designated custody hearing.
