Israeli mining company Bitfarms has ordered 48,000 cryptocurrency mining devices from MicroBT. True, deliveries will begin only in January 2022.
The company’s management plans to increase the hash rate from the current 1 Eh / s to 5 Eh / s, and by the end of 2022 – to 8 Eh / s. Now the Bitfarms hashrate allows you to mine about 5.7 BTC per day, but it is not known what the difficulty of mining will be by the end of 2022.
Bitframs CEO Emiliano Grodzki said the deal will be “the cornerstone of the company’s 2022 growth strategy.” He said:
“Limited supply of miners is one of the biggest challenges for the foreseeable future due to the global shortage of semiconductor wafers and mining chips. Despite this, our strategy will be to build up our own infrastructure, to mine cryptocurrencies on our own platforms, as well as to increase operational efficiency and profitability. ”
Recall that in mid-February, the American mining company Blockcap announced the purchase of 10,000 Antminer S19 miners.
