The film “Despicable Me 4” got a new trailer this Tuesday (7) and revealed something new for the film universe: the iconic minion characters now have superpowers.
In the trailer, the “Mega Minions” a team that now has powers such as strength, flight and heat vision.
In the new story, Gru (Steve Carrell), Lucy (Kristen Wiig) and their daughters – Margô (Miranda Cosgrove), Edith (Dana Gaier) and Agnes (Madison Polan) – welcome a new member to the Gru family, Gru Jr., whose purpose is basically to torment his father.
Additionally, Gru faces new enemies. Maxime Le Mal (Will Ferrell) and his femme fatale girlfriend Valentina (Sofia Vergara) are so evil that they leave the Gru family no choice but to flee.
In 2017, “Despicable Me 3” was a huge box office success, surpassing the R$4.92 billion mark worldwide. The economic mark surpassed the results of the “Shrek” saga, which, until then, was the highest-grossing animation in history.
The film is scheduled to be released in theaters July 3, 2024.
