The Minister of Education, Milton Ribeiro, stated that the schedule for the National Secondary Education Examination (Enem) is maintained and will not be affected by dozens of requests for dismissal from Inep, the body responsible for Enem.
Enem is scheduled to take place between November 21st and 28th. “The exam tests are already with the applying company and Inep is monitoring the situation to guarantee the normality of its execution,” stated the minister in a statement.
“It should be clarified that the civil servants made available the positions in commission or commissioned functions they hold, but which remain available to exercise the duties of the positions until the moment of publication of the act in the Official Gazette of the Union,” he added.
layoffs
Thirty-one coordinators from Inep, the body responsible for the National Secondary Education Examination (Enem), asked for collective resignation from their positions on Monday (8) in response to what they classify as “mismanagement” of the institute, a body linked to the Ministry of Education and responsible for applying all public examinations for teaching assessment in Brazil.
Most of those who resigned worked in the management and technology area of Inep, and directly took care of Enem. With other layoffs announced last week, in a few days, Inep registered 33 casualties.
In an official letter sent to the board of Inep, to which the CNN had access, the civil servants affirm that “considering the systemic situation of the agency and the technical and administrative weakness of the current top management of Inep”, they request the dismissal of the position in a commission or commissioned position that they were.
