The Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba, within the framework of the World Economic Forum, in Davos.
The situation on the ground in eastern Ukraine, especially in Donbas, was discussed at length during the meeting.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister thanked the Prime Minister for the assistance offered by Greece and Kyriakos Mitsotakis assured him that our country will continue to support Ukraine.
Mr. Kuleba informed the Prime Minister about the consignments of Ukrainian cereals and agricultural products that, under the current circumstances, can not be exported through the Black Sea.
The Prime Minister also noted Greece ‘s support for Ukraine’ s EU accession prospects.
Earlier, the Prime Minister took part in a working breakfast on the Western Balkans.
The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković, the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, the Prime Minister of Montenegro Dritan Abazovic, the President of Northern Macedonia Stevo Pendarovski and the Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti. Western Balkans, at a time when there is great global unrest due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
At the same time, the importance of a stable and secure energy supply in the Balkans was stressed, in which Greece can play an even more important role thanks to the development of key infrastructures for the reception and promotion of energy loads.
