The series “Monsters: Menendez Brothers: Parent Killers ” had its first trailer released this Wednesday (4). The video focuses on the lives of young people after the death of their parents, squandering luxuries with the money they inherited, as well as the trial and the path to prison.
The second season of the Netflix series — the first about the murderer Jeffrey Dahmer — premieres on September 19th, at 4 am, on streaming. The plot was inspired by the case of the Menendez brothers, young men from the American elite who murdered their own parents with twelve shots in 1989. See the full story of the crime .
On August 20, Lyle and Erik Menendez killed Jose and Kitty at the family’s Beverly Hills home in the United States. At the time, they were 21 and 18 years old, respectively, and together they shot the couple more than 12 times with shotguns.
Less than a year after the murders, in March 1990, Lyle was arrested, followed by Erik three days later. Neither attempted to deny the crimes during their separate trials in 1995.
