They amount to over 9,000 civilians who have been killed in Ukraine since its inception war. As a senior advisor to the Ukrainian president said on Tuesday (17/1), 453 children are among them.
“We have recorded 80,000 crimes committed by the Russian invaders and more than 9,000 civilians have been killed, including 453 children,” said Andriy Yermak, the head of the Ukrainian president’s office at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
“We will not condone a single torture or murder. Every criminal will be held accountable” he pointed out, as reported by the Athens News Agency, repeating that the Ukraine wants Russian political leaders tried by a special international court and reparations given for the destruction caused to the country by Russia’s invasion.
Yesterday Monday (16/1) the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights announced that more than 7,000 civilians have been killed in Ukraine since the Russian invasion.
