Mouse Belt Labs Launches Bored Ape NFT Rental Marketplace

Mouse Belt Labs launches marketplace Bored Jobs to provide intellectual property rental services to NFT Bored Ape Yacht Club owners.

Bored Jobs will be the first licensed rental market for NFT Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) owners’ intellectual property for commercial brands. For example, it will be possible to make a monkey the face of your coffee brand or part of a large-scale marketing campaign. In turn, BAYC owners will be able to realize the potential and add value to their collections.

“We noticed that NFT holders wanted to make their monkeys work and brands wanted to rent monkeys, but nothing was standardized before us and neither side knew how to contact the other. We believe that by standardizing the legal process, communications and transactions, we can enable both brands and NFT holders to unlock new potential,” said Mouse Belt co-founder Patrick McLain.

McLain said that within 24 hours of launching, the platform received more than 200 applications from BAYC owners wishing to lend their collections. Mouse Belt plans to list virtually all 10,000 BAYC on its website. Within a month and a half, the company will expand its rental offerings and add the Mutant Apes, Gutter Cats and Crypto Punks collections to the Bored Jobs platform.

Recall that previously a themed restaurant in California, named after the cryptocurrency project Bored Ape Yacht Club, stopped accepting APE and ETH from visitors. Bored & Hungry was originally opened to reflect the aesthetic of BAYC’s “bored monkeys” project.
