THE MTV announced, this Thursday (24), that the singer Rita Ora 33, will present this year’s edition of MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA ). The awards ceremony will take place in Manchester, England, on November 10th, starting at 5pm Brasília time.
By presenting this year’s MTV EMA, the Brit will become the first person to present the award ceremony three times, which has been held annually since 1994 and has been presented by names such as Jean-Paul Gaultier , Ed Sheeran and P. Diddy. Rita Ora has already led the event in the 2017 and 2022 editions.
“The EMA stage has become like a second home to me, and this year’s show in Manchester is going to be absolutely wonderful! We have an incredible program of musical performances and many surprises in store. We are all crazy about this moment!” said the voice of “Your Song” and “For You” .
Shawn Mendes, Benson Boone, Raye, Teddy Swims and The Warning were chosen to perform at the ceremony. Additionally, Bush’s lead singer, Gavin Rossdale and movie stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Turner-Smith and Lucien Laviscount, will take the stage to present the award categories.
The singer Taylor Swift 34, is the record holder for MTV EMA 2024 nominations and competes in seven categories different, including those of Artist of the Year and Clip of the Year (“Fortnight”, with Post Malone). In second place are Ariana Grande , Billie Eilish , Charli XCX and Sabrina Carpenter which appear in five categories each.
Among Brazilians, Anitta is the one competing for the most awards. The Rio singer is nominated in three categories : Best Latin Artist, Best Collab (“Bellakeo” with Featherweight) and Biggest Fans. Pablo Vittar , John , Matue , Luisa Sonza and Pedro Sampaio compete for the prize Best Brazilian Artist .
The MTV EMA 2024 will be broadcast live on MTV and also through the channel MTV Pluto TV from Pluto TV. From November 14th, the awards ceremony will be available to watch on Paramount+ .
