The governor of Mykolayiv province in southern Ukraine, which is under constant shelling, announced today a $100 bonus for those who help identify Russian collaborators.
In a statement on his Telegram account, governor Vitaly Kim appealed for information regarding “those who reveal to the occupiers the deployment points of Ukrainian troops” or help them determine the coordinates of possible bombing targets.
“After careful verification and confirmation of the information provided, you will receive a $100 bonus,” he wrote.
The governor also hinted that he planned to “shut down” the city of Mykolife for a few days in order to neutralize traitors and collaborators of the Russians.
“We want to put an end to this. We are looking at curfew measures. We have a big database. We will shut down the city for a few days, go and knock on the bad people’s door,” he said.
These statements come as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky sacked the head of special services and the general prosecutor, accusing them of insufficient efforts in the fight against spies and collaborators of Moscow.
More than 650 investigations into “high treason” and “cooperation” with Moscow target associates of the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office and law enforcement agencies, which raises “very serious questions” about the work of the two officials, the president stressed.
