Issues related to the deepening of the cooperation between Greece and the United Arab Emirates in the operational and educational field were discussed during the meeting that took place yesterday, Monday 29 November, the Undersecretary of National Defense, Nikos Hardalias, with the UAE Minister of State in charge of Defense bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the international military equipment exhibition “EDEX 2021”, which takes place at the Egyptian Exhibition Center in Cairo.
There was also an exchange of views on developments at regional and international level. The two sides agreed that the path of synergies is one that helps manage the threats that lurk in the region and ensure peace.
The inauguration ceremony of “EDEX 2021” was attended by the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt and Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Abdel Fatah El Sisi.
Delegations from 42 countries are participating in the international exhibition. Greece is “present” with the participation of five defense companies.
