“Greece today is very high in development. This is not accidental, it is a result of the effort to improve the business environment and we believe that 2022 and 2023 will be very good years. The tools are here, the funding is here and I believe that Greece it will go very well and it will be in the first places and we will support that until the end “.

This was noted, among others, by the Deputy Minister of Development and Investment Nikos Papathanasis, speaking at the conference of the Hellenic American Chamber.

Mr. Papathanasis noted that investments such as that of Pfizer are of great importance, because when many are added up then there is a multiplier effect. As a result of the increase in investments, he highlighted some findings such as:

· For every 1 euro of investment, they return to the country’s GDP 2.18 euros.

· Based on the data, thousands of jobs are created by the new investments. In addition, a very significant percentage of jobs are from Greeks who left due to the crisis.

· Large strategic investments not only create a movement of value or work, but also shape the general investment climate and this creates the image of the country internationally.

The Deputy Minister noted that the goal of the government, from the beginning, was in our country for the investor to trust the state. He then referred to three development tools that aim, very quickly, to multiply investment. As he said:

Strategic investments give priority to removing some bureaucratic obstacles in the abduction control process.

· The legislative framework for the Fair Development Transition, which will be voted on tomorrow, is also progressing.

· And next week comes the development law.

All this, he added, “together with the NSRF and the Recovery Fund will give the multiplier we want.”
