Films of different genres, to please all audiences, arrive at Brazilian cinemas this Thursday (19).
For those who like drama, a feature film quoted for the Oscar and which has already won two awards this year, “Babilônia”, is one of the releases of the week.
The production takes place in Los Angeles, between 1920 and 1930, and follows a period of transition in Hollywood and exposes the excessive excesses of the cinema figures of the time.
The title, directed by Damien Chazelle (“Whiplash” and “La La Land”), has a great cast, names like: Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Diego Calva and Tobey Maguire.
As for fans of national humor, “Fervo” is one of the novelties and brings with it the representation of transvestites on the big screen.
The plot is about a couple who move into an old house and discover that it is haunted by the ghosts of an old nightclub.
The film marks the debut of the drag queen Rita von Hunty in theaters, in the role of one of the ghosts and still has Felipe Abib , Georgiana Goes and Paulo Vieira in the cast.
There’s a horror debut too: the killer doll “M3GAN” arrives in Brazil.
The sci-fi horror film tells the story of a machine that uses Artificial Intelligence to adapt to the environments it is in and to accomplish what it was programmed for, to be the “ideal companion”.
When a brilliant roboticist gives her young niece an M3GAN prototype, the doll begins to experience system glitches and soon turns violent.
The Brazilian drama “Regra 34” is also among the releases of the week.
In addition to the premieres, “I Wanna Dance with Somebody: The Whitney Houston Story”, “The Fabelmans” , “Risk Scheme: Operation Fortune” “Puss in Boots 2: The Last Order” and more are still playing in theaters.
