Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said Israel had authorized negotiators to present a truce deal in Gaza after US President Joe Biden unveiled details of a three-phase ceasefire plan he said had been proposed by Israel. “The Israeli government is united in the desire for the return of our hostages as soon as possible and is working to achieve this goal,” the statement said. “Accordingly, the Prime Minister has authorized the negotiating team to present a draft plan to achieve this goal, while insisting that the war will not end until all of its objectives have been achieved, including the return of all our hostages and the destruction of its military Hamas and its governmental capabilities”.
