Netflix finally released the trailer we were waiting for. Tom Ellis returns to grace our screens with the second part of the fifth season of Lucifer. Although we love him, it seems that the lord of the underworld wants to conquer the sky.
Everything seems to indicate that Dad returned home and the fallen angel is not happy with his father’s return to Earth, especially if it causes a lot of problems for him and his relationship with Chloe.
There will be a great fight between archangels
On top of everything, Lucifer will have to deal with a bit of family drama, as he and Michael seem to share the same problem: They both want to deal with their problems by conquering heaven and usurping their father’s place as Almighty.
This new installment, which will be called Season “5B”, will consist of eight episodes, among which one stands out in musical format. In addition to saving the series, Netflix announced that there will be a sixth and final season of the hit series.
Lucifer will return for a sixth season
Tom Ellis stars as Lucifer himself, with Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, Lesley-Ann Brandt, DB Woodside, Rachael Harris, Scarlett Estevez and Aimee Garcia as part of the main cast.
Developed by Tom Kapinos with the help of Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson, Lucifer is based on the story of DC Comics and Vertigo by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg. The second installment of the fifth season will arrive on May 28.
