New 27-inch iMac will receive Apple M1 Max and 120-hertz mini-LED screen

Ross Young, founder of research companies Display Supply Chain Consultants and DisplaySearch, has released exclusive information that Apple may unveil a new 27-inch iMac in the first quarter of 2022. This computer will be equipped with a ProMotion mini-LED display.

This week the company introduced new MacBook Pro laptops with 14- and 16-inch displays. The company continues to move to its own SoCs, which will also appear in the new iMac Pro, Mac mini and Mac Pro. The 27-inch iMac will support 120Hz refresh rates, according to Ross Young’s tweet.

The new iMac will be an updated version of the discontinued iMac Pro. He will also suggest some improvements over current models. The 27-inch iMac can be built around the Apple M1 Max SoC.

Apple continues to fight unauthorized disclosure of its trade secrets by its employees or third parties. The company has taken some steps to track down and deter whistleblowers from disclosing such secrets, but that did not solve the problem.

Ross Young previously accurately reported the characteristics of the screens of the new iPhone 13 and MacBook Pro.
