New Identity Card begins to be issued this Tuesday (26)

Rio Grande do Sul begins to issue this Tuesday (26) the National Identity Card (CIN). The new document will adopt the CPF number as a general, unique and valid registration for all of Brazil.

After the southern state, “the civil identification bodies in Acre, Distrito Federal, Goiás, Minas Gerais and Paraná will follow in the following days. There is still no forecast of issuance in the other states”, informed the Federal Revenue, in a statement.

According to the Revenue, the CIN will be issued, at this time, only to citizens who have updated information on the CPF. “Citizens who do not have or have incorrect information on the CPF may use the remote service channels of the Federal Revenue Service to resolve their situation”, he said.

The updating of information in the CPF can be performed free of charge on the internet, at Federal Revenue website. In some situations, the procedure generates a care protocol. In these cases, the requested documents can be sent to the IRS by e-mail.

The new document template will become mandatory in 2032.

Fed set to raise interest rates by 0.75 pp, with market attentive to signals, analysts say

O Federal Reserve holds a new monetary policy meeting on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (26th and 27th) to define how much it will raise interest rates on United States currently in the range between 1.5% and 1.75%.

Already the majority since the last meeting, the bet reinforced by the market in recent days is for another increase of 0.75 percentage point, following the increase in June, the biggest since 1994 .

On the one hand, the United States faces the highest inflation in more than 40 years, fueled both by a heated economy and by supply problems linked to pandemic and the war in ukraine .

At the same time, the current rate hike cycle, which began in March, led to bets that the country will eventually enter into recession for inflation to be contained.
