New limitations for everyone? Who risks red and reinforced orange

It is the day of the color change for the Italian regions. As every Friday, the monitoring data arrives and Italy goes towards red and orange, colors and restrictions that come into force on Monday 8 March. Emilia-Romagna (already dark red like Trentino-Alto Adige for the European map) and Campania they are the two regions most at risk, they point straight towards the red where Basilicata and Molise are already.

It is clear that the epidemic is running: in total there are almost 3 million cases ascertained in the past year.

And they have risen sharply in recent weeks with the value of ICU admissions worrying more than others. The cases are growing mainly due to the variations and the slowness of vaccinations, so far almost 5 million doses administered, does not help to brake the curve.

COLOR CHANGES
Emilia-Romagna, Umbria and the Marches are already dotted with local red areas. Lombardy has now activated the dark orange zone for the whole region, with the closure of all schools except the nurseries, but the shops open. For the region there should be no additional color shift. In orange, but the risk of red is there for everyone, Piedmont, Abruzzo and Tuscany should remain. At risk of orange Calabria and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, but also Puglia. The passage of the Veneto in orange is practically certain. Lazio should remain yellow.

This is the possible new framework:
White: Sardinia.
Yellow: Lazio, Liguria, Puglia, Sicily, Valle d’Aosta.
Orange: Abruzzo, Lombardy, Marche, Piedmont, Tuscany, Autonomous Province of Bolzano, Autonomous Province of Trento, Umbria, Veneto.
Red: Basilicata, Molise, Campania, Emilia-Romagna.

DPCM
From tomorrow the first Dpcm of the Draghi government is in force and is valid until April 6, beyond Easter. However, further restrictions could come as the number of ICU admissions is growing and is approaching the critical threshold of 3000. The government has asked municipalities and regions to establish red zones as quickly as possible where there are outbreaks and also in the neighboring municipalities.

NEW RESTRICTIONS
This is to avoid having to resort to tougher measures at national level. It would not be a lockdown, but certainly new restrictions that could arrive within the next 15 days and that would further limit the possibility of moving.

If the closure of the schools in dark orange were not enough, it would close the shops. In the red zone, barbershops, hairdressers and beauty centers have already been closed and the same could happen to other categories that would instead be open according to the decree.

There is the hypothesis of anticipating the curfew at 8 pm and to eliminate, even in the orange zone, the possibility of daily visits to relatives and friends.
