New post Ev. Venizelou with tips to the government – K. Mitsotaki for the statements about Novartis

In a new post – reply to what the government said through its representative, Giannis Oikonomou, about the Novartis case, the former president of PASOK and vice-president of the governments G. Papandreou, Papadimou and Samara, Evangelos Venizelos, declared “disappointment” and leaving clear points for “very slow political and institutional government reflexes” on the issue of “Novartis”.

In detail, Mr. Venizelos states:

“My statement yesterday about the separation made by Mr. Mitsotakis between the executives of his party and the other target persons of the Novartis conspiracy, I hoped that it would make it easier for him to think about the institutional and historical background of this debate.

Unfortunately, today’s statements by the government spokesman disappointed me. Personally, I do not need to apologize to Mr Tsipras and I have not entrusted my political and moral representation to anyone. But until yesterday, the goals of the conspiracy had never been separated based on their party identity. Mr. P. Pikrammenos was slandered as caretaker Prime Minister, a position he acquired as President of the Council of State. Mr. I. Stournaras as Governor of the Bank of Greece does not belong to any party. Let me say that as vice president and government partner of the Samaras-Venizelos government, I did not only express the PASOK of which I was president. Maybe Mr. Mitsotakis remembers something about that as a member of that government.

My reaction concerns the lack of understanding and respect for the foundations of the change that took place in July 2019. I do not underestimate the electoral percentages that New Democracy received in 2019 under the leadership of Mr. Mitsotakis.

But we were led to the change of political conditions, because some people gave many years and hard struggle, playing their life and their honor, to keep the country upright until 2015 and then in order to stop the danger for the economy, democracy and the place. and lead SYRIZA and its collaborators to defeat.

The highlight of this match was the repulse and collapse of the Novartis conspiracy. Unfortunately, the current government’s political and institutional reflections on the responsibilities of the legislator and the Minister of Justice in terms of the Novartis conspiracy’s institutional grid were and still are too late. If Mr. Mitsotakis wants, with party criteria, to demand the apology of Mr. Tsipras for the executives of New Democracy, let him do it.

“I urge the Prime Minister, as an institution, to remember the recent history and to ensure the legal framework of respect for the independence of the judiciary and the attribution of responsibilities.”
