The Palestinian Red Crescent said today that at least five people were killed and one seriously wounded in the Toumba district in the northern part of the occupied West Bank in an attack it confirmed was carried out by the Israeli army. “Five people were killed and another injured in an attack on a vehicle in Toumba,” the Palestinian Red Crescent summarized in a statement. The Israeli military announced via Telegram that it had carried out “three targeted strikes against armed terrorists who posed a threat” to its members. Israeli armed forces raided the Faraa refugee camp in the Toumba area, where explosions were heard, witnesses told AFP. The Israeli army launched on August 28 a large-scale “anti-terrorist” operation in the Gaza Strip, a Palestinian territory under Israeli occupation since 1967. It announced on Saturday the death of one of its members in Jenin.
