Piraeus Bank strategically selects support for the agri-food sector and enhances the liquidity of farmers, agricultural cooperatives and small and medium-sized agri-food companies affected by Covid-19 through the Rural Development Guarantee Fund.
Through the program, Piraeus Bank provides loans in the form of working capital, to cover liquidity needs, which arose due to the pandemic and regardless of the implementation of investment plans.
Beneficiaries are natural and legal persons who meet the eligibility criteria. Specifically for primary production (Action 4.1.4) are professional farmers, young farmers, cooperatives and for the processing and marketing of agricultural products (Action 4.2.4) SMEs and cooperatives active in the processing, development and / or marketing of agricultural products , with a final product also agricultural, in an eligible K.A.D.
The beneficiaries of the program, available until 31.12.2022, can be financed with a lower interest rate and reduced collateral, with the guarantee of the European Investment Fund at a rate of 80% and for amounts ranging from € 10,000 to € 200,000.
The loan can be repaid from 1 to 8 years, in monthly, 3-month, 6-month or annual interest-bearing or installment installments.
Those interested should submit their application to the State Aid Information System (PSE) of the Ministry of Development and Investment (https://www.ependyseis.gr/mis) by choosing one of the two specific actions of the RDP 2014 – 2020:
-Action 4.1.4 concerning investments in agricultural holdings and
-Action 4.2.4 concerning investments in processing and marketing of agricultural products with final product also agricultural.
With this initiative, Piraeus Bank strengthens the liquidity of the agricultural sector and the sector of processing of agricultural products, on favorable terms, contributing to the strengthening of entrepreneurship in our country in a situation with many challenges. The total of the programs of the Rural Development Guarantee Fund with a total budget of € 200 million is provided by Piraeus Bank from January 2021.
