On New Year’s Eve and New Year’s evenings there will be unique conditions when all the planets, except Mars, can be seen at once during the evening. This was reported by the press service of the Moscow Planetarium.

The New Year’s parade can be observed on clear winter evenings from December 25, 2021 to January 7, 2022. Uranus, Neptune, Jupiter, Saturn and the beautiful Venus will shine with a New Year’s “garland”, gradually leaving behind the horizon after the Sun. Not far from Venus are Mercury and Pluto, they also participate in the parade, but are hidden in the bright rays of the Sun and are not observable.
You can see at once the entire New Year’s celestial “garland” of planets starting in the morning, when Mars is visible, and continuing in the evenings from 16:00 to 18:00. All the luminaries are low in the southwest and gradually recede beyond the horizon. The best observation time is 17:00 Moscow time, since after 18:00 Venus is hiding behind the horizon, by 19:00 – Saturn, and after 20:30 – Jupiter. Neptune can be observed until midnight, and Uranus – all night, however, only through telescopes.
