The government representative of the Republic of Cyprus, Constantinos Letymiotis, characterizes the claims of Cyprus’ involvement in the Israeli operations against Gaza as “completely unfounded”, through a series of facilities. Speaking to RIK, he said that the mega-island has never provided, nor will it provide facilities for any aggressive action against any country. He also referred to the statement of Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kobos before the Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels that Cyprus was never part of the crisis, but, as is internationally accepted, is part of the solution.
