North Korea reports first Covid-19 death amid outbreak

At least one person has been confirmed to have died from Covid-19 in North Korea, state media reported on Friday (local time) in North Korea. firsts statistics of this type, after the country confirmed its first outbreak since the beginning of the pandemic.

Currently, around 187,800 people are in isolation after a fever of originin unidentified has spread in the country since late April, according toof the official KCNA news agency.

At least six people who showed symptoms of fever have died, as one such case confirms.of as a result of contamination by the Ômicron variant of virus, KCNA said.

The leader north-Korean, Kim Jong Un, visited the command centerof antivirus on Tuesday the day after declaring “severe inemergency of thisof” and order a lockofwn national.
