Life is full of surprises and for Teresa Robinson, a nurse from Woodbridge in Suffolk, England who has been working through the entire covid pandemic, winning the lottery was something that was not expected.

At 65, Robinson won the jackpot on April 15 after guessing the last five numbers of the famous Set For Life lottery, and for which he will receive 10,000 pounds a month for a whole year.

She and her partner, 62-year-old builder Charlie Hobson, were quietly sipping tea at home when they realized they had won something, however, to their surprise, they had no idea of the grand prize that awaited them.

When I checked my ticket and heard the prize sound, I was hoping long enough would be enough to buy something nice for dinner. At no point did I imagine that I could earn 10,000 pounds a month a year. I was really excited but Charlie, calm as always, looked at the ticket and simply said, “I knew we would win one day,” he gave me a kiss and kept working.

For this couple, the perfect time to rest has come as they hope to buy a house on the Snow Island where Charlie is from, and thus be able to enjoy their money and a well-deserved retirement with their loved ones and family.
