The “Intercultural Mediators” training program for 60 young people and adolescents at risk of social exclusion, aged 16-24, was launched this week as part of the Child Guarantee Program and its co-operation. OAED and UNICEF for the planning of new actions and initiatives in the field of vocational education and training, with the aim of promoting the social and work integration of young people.
The program, lasting 250 hours, is implemented by the Vocational Training Center of OAED in Rentis and consists of the following thematic units:
• Teaching Greek as a second language (125 hours)
• Teaching Professional English (25 hours)
• Development of digital skills (20 hours)
• Development of Social and Professional Skills for the profession of Intercultural Mediator (80 hours)
The aim of the program, which consists of 4 sections of 15 people, is to upgrade the social and professional skills of young people.
