The Moscow Department of Transport spoke about the upcoming experiment on Moscow highways. Participants in traffic accidents will be allowed to leave the scene of an accident if there are no victims.

According to the press service of Deptrans, participants in the accident will be able to leave the scene of the accident on high-speed highways, such as the Moscow Ring Road, Third Ring Road, Central Ring Road, chords and other highways. A unified system of cameras operates on these roads and with their help it is possible to obtain photo and video materials.
The agency stressed that the project is a pilot one. The experiment was supported by the government commission on road safety. As planned, the new rules will help to avoid human casualties, reduce the chance of “secondary” accidents (when people file a minor accident and another car blows them away from behind), and also unload roads by about 50%, depending on the number of lanes.
The results of the experiment will form the basis of amendments to the SDA. The details of the experiment itself are now being discussed.
