On CNN Profit #30: Franciny Ehlke reveals that luxury apartment was a marketing strategy: “I knew it would go viral”

Swarosvski on the stairs, gold on the ceiling and an all-tech apartment. Luxurious items attract attention at the home of influencer and businesswoman Franciny Ehlke. On the 30th episode of CNN In Profit podcast, CNN Brasil Soft project, she revealed that the entire renovation of the property was strategically designed to draw attention to her personal brand. “It took two years to renovate my apartment, but I really saw it as a strategy. I knew it was going to go viral,” she said.

In the conversation led by Leandro Munhós, Franciny also spoke about her career as an influencer, business and how she spends her own money.

Marketing strategy

Franciny Ehlke’s apartment caused an uproar on social media for its luxurious items, such as swarosvski on the stairs and gold on the ceiling, but also for its technology. The house is fully integrated. “It’s really cool because it has underfloor heating, I can control how much I want the temperature of my house from here. For example, today I’m going to arrive in Curitiba at nine at night, I can already program it to heat certain regions”.

So much luxury and innovation was no accident. According to the influencer, the renovation, which cost about R$ 2.8 million, was a strategy to draw attention to her name and her makeup brand.

“I really invest to give people that shock. A lot of people know me from my apartment, start following me and buy my makeup,” she said.

The influencer, who has more than 15 million followers on Instagram, signs a makeup line that bears her own name. The brand earned more than R$ 30 million in the first four months of launch. “In the first month, it was already a scare for me. I had never made so much money from my advertising work,” she revealed.

Escaping the technical language and jargon of the economics area, popularly called “economês”, the program will not be restricted to specialists, as it will also receive celebrities, influencers and people who are behind successful businesses in the most diverse areas. The idea is to show different points of view on entrepreneurship, personal finance, management, investments and economics.

The videocast is part of the “No Lucro by CNN Soft” platform, launched in March, as a result of a strategic partnership between CNN Brasil and Banco Santander.
