Florence Pugh on the red carpet of the Oscars 2023 it literally made a bang. The actress of Don’t Worry Darling debuted with a very short micro fringe, perhaps inspired by Anya Taylor-Joy, Alexa Demie or Bella Hadid, who recently put their own spin on this style.
On closer inspection, we see that Pugh didn’t actually cut her hair but resorted to the technique to create a fake fringe. The star had the length of the high ponytail pinned to her head (by hairstylist Peter Lux) in such a way as to create a fake fringe with the ends of the hair resting on the forehead. An optical illusion, one of the favorite tricks to achieve a fringe look without the need for scissors or the necessary patience required during the growing period. A thin velvet ribbon tied with a bow completed the look.
Pugh, who presented the awards for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Original Screenplay, is no stranger to experimenting with bangs. Last month she showed at London Fashion Week in what she has been nicknamed Barbie fringegiven the volume and height of the bangs.
At the Oscars, Pugh also drew attention to her Tiffany & Co. diamond necklace paired with a silver Valentino Couture cape and black shorts. (No, this is her first time wearing a Valentino dress: last summer Florence Pugh wore a sheer purple Valentino dress that showed off her boobs and responded to her troll comments about her body.)
However, we cannot fail to mention the delicate and elegant make-up created by the make-up artist Alex Babsky: u a pinkish smoky eye and a pink lipstick (made respectively with Valentino Beauty Eye2Cheek Blush and Eyeshadow in 09 Poudre and Rosso Valentino Refillable Lipstick in 112R) added a pop of color to the metallic look. And, of course, Pugh’s signature silver nose ring was on full display.
