Civilian police disguised as evidence arrested, on Sunday (16), 13 candidates suspected of attempted fraud and criminal association, in the application of the Pará State Bank competition (Banpará).
Action entitled “Final Feedback” was carried out in test places located in Castanhal, Northeast Paraense, and in the neighborhoods of Marco, Umarizal and Val de Cans, in Belém.
Security agents found in the act the suspects with miniature electronic devices hidden in clothing, intimate parts and shoes.
According to the investigations, the gang consisted of expert teachers, who signed up at the event, took the tests and later transmitted the answers to the candidates involved in the scheme.
PC detailed that the gang charged values of up to R $ 10,000 from each candidate to provide the feedback of the tests.
The group worked in several cities of the state, had already tried to defraud other public tenders in Pará and had a centralized core in the municipality of Abaetetuba.
During the operation, several cell phones were seized, which made it difficult to detect security equipment, as well as personal cell phones and digital clocks used in the crime.
“Civil police officers acted veiled, disguised as competition inspectors. They monitored the test sites and strategically approached the suspects when they went to the bathroom to check the feedback. The approaches occurred without embarrassment to other participants, but with the efficiency needed to thwart the attempted fraud, ”explained regional superintendent, Mhoab Khayan.
The action was conducted by teams of the Regional Superintendence of Baixo Tocantins, the Abaetetuba Research Support Center, the Abaetetuba Homicide Police Station and the Specialized Police Board (DPE).
The 13 arrested candidates were sent to the Special Investigation and Operations Division (Dioe).
The criminals have been charged in the act and will be responsible for crimes of attempted fraud and criminal association.
