Israeli soldiers shot and killed a 12-year-old Palestine boy in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced.
The Israeli army did not immediately comment on the incident, which occurred as the boy was riding in a car with his father in the town of Beit Omar, near Hebron in the southwest.
The boy, 12-year-old Mohammad al-Alami, was shot in the chest, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, and succumbed to his injuries several hours later after being rushed to a nearby hospital.
There were no riots in the area at the time of the incident, residents said.
Late last night, a 41-year-old Palestinian man, Sandy Omar Lotfi Salim, was shot dead by Israeli soldiers near the occupied West Bank village of Beita, the scene of clashes between protesters and Israeli forces for several weeks, according to Palestinians.
On Saturday, a 17-year-old Palestinian teenager who had been injured the day before in clashes with Israeli soldiers succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
