Panic on flight that lost power on takeoff – Passengers were crying and unable to breathe

Passengers on an AirAsia flight experienced panic on Thursday during take-off from an Australian airport after the plane lost power before it could take off. During the power outage passengers panicked, started crying and struggling to breathe inside the plane as a passenger told Nine News. The same passenger stated that 17 of his fellow passengers had disembarked from the plane and that during the layover they had been stranded without any help from airline staff. A Perth Airport spokesman confirmed passengers had voluntarily deplaned due to “technical issues”. “We were informed of a technical problem at the airport as the aircraft was departing shortly before 3am,” the spokesman said. The plane finally took off from Australia bound for Jakarta and arrived an hour and a half late, as reported by the Daily Mail.
